It's been way too long!

I can't believe it's been over a year since I last posted on this blog. I am almost ashamed that I fell off for so long. I was really hoping I could keep it up so we could have something to look back at and remember. Kason has grown so much in the last year. He is such a little boy now. At this very moment, he loves to wear his new hat and play with his new fishing pole. If he's outside, he is very happy. I'm pretty sure he would eat and sleep outside if we would let him. He is also now in a toddler bed and he loves it. He now sleeps in his own bed and sleeps through the night. He goes to bed at about 8 oclock and wakes around 7. He still loves to eat. His favorite is cheese but he eats most anything. He recently started enjoying Mac and cheese. He drinks soy milk but we have given him regular milk the last few days and he seems to be doing ok with it. Fingers crossed that he continues to do well with it. He is definitely a combination of his dad and I. He loves cars and motorcycles and can point out motorcycles just by the sound. He also loves sports. Anything with balls makes him happy. I will post some pictures hopefully tomorrow when I can get on the laptop. Things have changed for me and Titus as well. Titus now works for a new company that he is enjoying. He gets along with the guys really well and enjoys hanging out with them. I am back at work now which is one reason I have been too busy to keep up with the blog. I have been with my company for a little over a year now. I am now a manager and manage a team of 9. I enjoy my job and the people I work with as well. I will do my best to get back on tomorrow to post pictures and update again. Good night!

Updates on Kason

It has been so long since I updated the blog. I feel really bad, especially since Kason has hit so many milestones that last couple of week. Below are some things that have happened.

Kason has 2 teeth that have broken through the gums. Both bottom front teeth.

He can sit on his own for quite a while. We still sit with him because he loses his balance trying to reach for toys.

He has started solid foods. He loves pretty much everything. He has tried cereal, oatmeal, sweet potatoes and avocado. In a couple of days he will try carrots. I am making his baby food so it has been fun and interesting.

Kason stayed with his Mammy and Poppy for almost a week and he did great. This was his first time away from us and on an overnight trip.

He is now 18lbs and about 27" long.

Easter

Yesterday was Kason's first Easter. We went to church with Poppy and Nana and then we went to eat with Poppy, Nana, YaYa and Papa Butch. Below are some pictures of our wonderful day.

3 Months Old

Kason was 3 months old on Monday. He is getting so big. Below are a few stats about him.
Weight: 15lbs
Height: 25"
Wears size 2 diapers
Wears 0-3 in cloths but can also wear 3-6 in tops
Smiles a lot now and he can laugh out loud as well
Has rolled over once from belly to back and once from back to belly
Can now hold his head up
Likes to sit in his bumbo seat (see pic below)
Wakes up only once at night to eat
Now takes a bottle once sometimes twice a day
He loves kicking and splashing in the bath

2 Months

Ok so this is a couple of weeks late but we finally have internet again. I am going to use this as Kason's 2 month old post and give you all the information we got at his 2 month dr. appt.

Weight: 14.1 pounds (92% of kids his age)
Height: 23 1/2 inches (75% of kids his age)
Clothes: Size 0-3 months
Diapers: Size 2
He can hold his head up really well now.
He laughs out loud.
He loves for you to sing and talk to him as well as him doing it too.
He only wakes up twice a night and the past two nights he has woken up only once.

Road Trip to Mammy and Poppy's

We made our first big road trip to go visit Mammy, Poppy and a lot of other people this past weekend. It is normally a 4 hour trip and it took us between 4 1/2 and 5 hours. Kason did so well. He slept the whole way. Below are some pictures of everyone he got to see and meet while we were there.

1 Month Old

Kason was 1 month old on January 28th. Our internet has been down so I haven't been able to post his pictures and information about him.




At 1 month Kason is about 8lbs or a little more and about 21 to 21 1/2 inches long.
He wears a size 1 diaper.
He wears a 0-3 month top and newborn pants. (The waist of the pants are getting to small but the length of the 0-3 months are too long.)
He eats pretty much every 2 hours even at night.
At night he eats and goes right back to sleep.
He is a very easy peaceful baby. He is a mover and a shaker though.

3 Weeks Old

Kason is 3 weeks old already. Well, he was this past Tuesday. I figured out how incredibly hard it is to do anything on the internet with a baby. He is currently asleep on the couch right now. I have some pictures below of how he has grown and changed. He also has met a few of the important people in his life like his great grandma and his Aunt Nati and Uncle Curtis.

Kason is Here!!

Kason has made his arrival. He was born on Tuesday December 28, 2010 at 6:55pm. He was 7lbs 1oz and 19 1/2in long. He is the most adorable baby we have ever seen. He has really long fingers and he has big blue eyes. Below are some pictures of him.

Update 39 Weeks (tomorrow)

Sorry we haven't updated in the last couple of days. We have been without internet.

I went to the doctor on Tuesday and I am dilated to 3cm. She did a quick ultrasound to make sure he is head down and he is. She also said she believes he is in the 7lb range but that is a complete guess.

I am having contractions but not in regular intervals. Titus is currently painting our living room so even though I want Kason to come soon, I want him to wait until that is done before making his debut. At this point, we are just playing the waiting game.

Dr. Appt/Mt Comfort Baby Shower

We had a dr. appointment today. We are dialated to 2cm now and Kason's heartrate was at 133/minute. She said everything looks good and we will go back next week.

We also had a baby shower this past weekend. It was an amazing shower. The theme was Bikes, Blues and Babies Too. Way too cute. We received a ton of motorcycle clothes. Mostly Harley Davidson clothes from YaYa and HaHa (Titus' Mom and Dad). Below are some pictures to show what a wonderful shower it was.

Full Term Today!

So I just realized that I still haven't posted about our Dr.'s appointment this week. It was really uneventful. She just checked Kason's heart rate (143/minute) and measured my belly. She didn't check me this time. We have another appointment on Tuesday again.

So yes, as of today, we are considered full term. Anytime Kason would like to make his appearance in the world is fine with us. I have started having some real contractions now but nothing at regular intervals. I feel like there is something else I am supposed to tell everyone but I can't remember what it is. If I don't write it down somewhere, I absolutely will not remember. I tell everyone at work that the baby has eaten my brain and I'm pretty sure it is true.

35 Week Dr. Appt.

We had a doctor's appointment yesterday. Everything went good. Kason's heartrate was at 162. A little higher than it has been but the doctor was happy with it. I am also 1.5cm dilated. As of this moment we are still looking at around Christmas Eve for our due date. Our next dr. appt. is Tuesday so I will let you know how it goes.

Titus and I are so Thankful for all of you. You have each touched us and helped us in one way or another. We are very grateful for your love and support during this time of change in our lives. Thank you so much.

Dr. Appt/Kason's Room

I had a Dr.'s appointment yesterday and everything went well. Kason's heartbeat was really high at 180 so the dr. hooked me up to the fetal monitor for about 20 minutes. It slowed back down and she said he looked perfect. She said she just caught it at a spike which can easily happen. Kason did not like the monitor however. He went crazy when it was put on my belly. He kicked it like crazy and then he got the hiccups which was pretty funny. Like I said, everything is good though. I start going every week now.

We also almost have Kason's room done. All we like now is getting the curtains hung and cleaning up the items on the floor. It is getting so close. We only have 37 days left until the due date. Below are pictures of his room so far.



We also got our pack n play from YaYa and HaHa (Titus' parents). We love it and it is in our room waiting for Kason. Below is a picture of Titus putting it together.

Week 34, 1 Day

Here is a picture of my belly at week 34. Yes it is huge but that just means little Kason is growing big and strong.

I am still doing good. My feet have started swelling and it is harder to breath but I am still sleeping well and enjoying this time. Kason is about 20" long now and about 5lbs. He will be considered full term in about 4 weeks and our due date is in only 6 weeks. It is coming fast.

The nursery is coming along great. We are almost done with it. Titus has to hang the shelves and there are some things I need to get put away and we will pretty much be done with it. I will post some pictures as soon as it is done. Hopefully it will be done this weekend.

We had a great shower at our new church Flagstone last Sunday. I wasn't expecting one from there because we are so new to it but the ladies there are just amazing. We have made some great friends. We got a lot of things that we will need that we didn't get at the first shower. Things like thermometer, diapers, wipes and diaper rash cream.

Ok, now I have to go and clean this disgusting house. I just threw away most of everything in the refrigerator so I also have to go grocery shopping. Have a great day!

Week 32, Dr. Appointment

We had a dr. appointment today. Everything looked good and Kason's heartbeat was 155/minute. She said everything looks really good and we go back in 2 weeks.

Kason's Room

Here are some pictures of Kason's room so far. We have the crib, changing table and the dresser. It's looking really great so far.
