Week 22, 3 Days - Dr. Appt

Our Dr.'s appointment today went well. Dr. Ford said the ultrasound looked really good. Kason's heartbeat was 154 per minute. He is kicking like crazy right now while I am typing this. He's been going crazy today.

I have gained a total of 12lbs so far and now weigh 110. We have our next appointment September 20th and after that we start our appointments that will be every 2 weeks.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Very important, our delivery hospital has been changed. As of today, we will now be delivering at Northwest Medical in Bentonville. My dr.'s office has decided to solely due deliveries at Northwest as of August 1st and will no longer be doing deliveries at Mercy. I was looking forward to being at Mercy but Dr. Ford explained that Northwest has completely redone their labor and delivery unit and now has the most up to date technology in this area.

I believe we have decided on bedding. I have attached the picture below. We are excited about it because you can put anything in the room with it. We still haven't gotten the room completely cleaned out but we are working on it.

21 Weeks, 3 Days - Name

We have decided on a name - Kason Monroe Prater. Just in case someone isn't sure how to pronounce it, the name rhymes with Mason. We love the name and are so excited about it. Titus came up with the name. He was watching an old western show on Sunday 8/8 before church and one of the characters on it was Kason. It is completely random because 1st, Titus doesn't watch westerns (ever) and 2nd, we always watch Meet the Press before church. We didn't 100% decide to use the name until we were having dinner at Outback Steakhouse on Friday night 8/13. Monroe is a family name on Titus' side and it is Titus' middle name as well.

The baby is the size of a large banana this week. According to my scale, I have gained 7lbs so far. We feel him move on a regular basis now and his kicks are getting stronger. He really likes to wad up on my right side, right beside my belly button.

We are so excited about our little boy and can't wait to get his nursery decorated. We had a yard sale last weekend to get his room cleaned out and we got rid of a lot of stuff. Now we just have to get in there and get it cleaned up.

I am having a harder time bending over and picking things up off the floor. I am craving watermelon and love really any fruit right now. I also crave frosted flakes.

IT'S A BOY!!

We are going to have a baby boy. He is 13oz right now and his heartbeat was at 155 beats per minute. I have added photo's of the ultrasound below.

This is our little boy blowing bubbles and enjoying himself.

This is his face and cute little belly.

This is his arm. He kept it flexed to show his Daddy his muscles. He made sure we saw them no matter which way he was facing.

We have cute little feet which I can't wait to kiss on.

And yes, we are a boy!! He wanted to make sure we saw this too.

It was such an exciting day and we still can't believe we are having a little boy. I don't think either one of us slept much last night because we were so excited for today. Hope you enjoy the photo's.

Titus felt the Baby

FYI...Titus felt the baby kick for the first time on Sunday night. It was the cutest thing. He was so surprised that he could actually feel it. So cool.

Week 19, 2 Days

The baby this week is the size of a large mango, which is about 6" long. It is also a full pound in weight.

The kicks and movements are getting stronger and the baby was kicking like crazy this morning when we were singing at church. It's definitely an amazing feeling.

We find out next Monday, August 9th if we are having a boy or girl. Hopefully this week doesn't go by too slow. We are getting pretty anxious.
