Baby woke me Up

The baby woke me up for the first time early this morning. I woke up at 5:30am this morning feeling a lot of pressure, kind of like I had to pee really bad. I put my hand on my lower belly like I have gotten into a habit of doing, to see if I can feel anything and right below my belly button was as hard as a rock and pooching out big time. It was the craziest thing ever. I didn't have to pee at all, it was the baby finding a comfy spot.

Also, last night, I had a glass of ice water and every time I would take a drink of it, the baby would kick me. I'm thinking either it tasted really good or it was way too cold. Titus still can't feel the kicks on the outside but they are getting definitely getting harder. He will be able to feel them soon.

Week 18, 3 Days - Dr Appt.

Our Dr. appointment went well today. The baby's heartbeat was at 155. I have gained 3lbs and now weigh a total of 103lbs. Above is the most recent belly pic for all to see.

We FINALLY scheduled out ultrasound appointment. We will find out if we are having a boy or girl in 2 weeks from today, August 9th at 9:45 in the morning. We are so excited.

I am trying to get the baby room cleared out. I have finally gotten the guest room cleaned out so we can start moving items from the baby room to the guest room. I think Titus is a little scared right now because I keep talking about selling everything in a yard sale or just getting rid of it. I even told him we have to go through the attic and he got a little nervous.

17 weeks, 2 days

I believe I felt the baby move on Thursday. I was driving home from work and felt these little flutters down just below my belly button. It felt just like it is described online of how it will feel. I felt them again today when i woke up from my nap and was just laying there. I'm not 100% for sure that's what it is but i'm gonna pretend it is.

I have also definitely been feeling the ligaments stretch on a daily basis from my growing belly. It's crazy how stretched and tight it can become, especially after I eat a meal.

The baby's skeleton is starting to change from cartilage to bone this week and the umbilical cord is growing stronger and thicker. The baby is about the size of a turnip this week. The baby can move his/her joints and the sweat glands are starting to develop.

Our appointment for this Tuesday got moved to Friday the 23rd and yes, we will be scheduling our ultrasound at that appointment. We should be able to find out the gender of the baby around the second week in August.

Week 16, 2 Days

I haven't updated in a couple of weeks but we were really busy last weekend with family in town. Ajay (my nephew) has All Star T-ball games up here in Pea Ridge and we had a blast. He did so great.

Above is a new belly pic and I feel like all of a sudden, I just expanded. I really feel like it happened within 1 week.

The baby is about the size of an avocado now. The baby's muscles are continuing to get stronger and the eyes are now complete with eyebrows and eyelashes. The eyes are also finally working and can detect light.

I haven't felt any movements yet but according to my book, I could feel them at any time now. We go for our next appointment in about a week, July 20th and should schedule at that time, our appointment for our gender ultrasound. We are so excited and can't wait to find out if we are having a little Titus or a little Kyla :)
